The inaugural South Padre International Music Festival played its first note on Friday, November 2nd.
For the entire weekend, musicians from around the world grooved, jammed and rocked the tropical island to its core. With 13 venues throughout the island, a warm gulf breeze, and gorgeous beaches, the SPI Music Fest truly became a musical paradise.

Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) is a non-profit organization that comprises 17 coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific coasts. From South Texas to the upper reaches of Maine, CCA’s unmatched breadth and depth of volunteer involvement has made it the largest marine conservation group of its kind. Its grassroots network and unique combination of membership, fundraising and advocacy have enacted positive change on all levels of coastal marine conservation and management.
Sea Turtle, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Ila Loetscher, better known as "The Turtle Lady of South Padre Island." STI was formed to aid and assist in the protection of Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle - and to ultimately restore the Ridley population to a level that will ensure its survival. Through the years STI has expanded its scope to actively support the conservation of all marine turtle species. To achieve its goals, STI provides educational programs to schools, tourist bureaus, civic organizations and new media. At Sea Turtle Inc we are committed to rehabilitating injured sea turtles for their return to the wild.
